I ABSOLUTELY LOVE Dr.Bishop!! She is down to earth, explains everything thoroughly. She takes time to answer any questions and most importantly she is very gentle!! I would recommend anyone to Dr.Bishop! In a time where the world feels rushed, people seem more inconsiderate its nice to have a Dr. that gives that old school feel❤️

This was my first appointment and I am pleased with the outcome. Dr. Bishop is well informed and compassionate. I have ADHD and she didn’t seemed phased by my talkative nature. She has impeccable knowledge and understanding about menopause and how to treat the symptoms.

Best doctor ever. She listened to all of my concerns and took the time to talk them through with me and explain things that no other doctor has. I appreciate her bedside manner and how confident and respectful she is to her patients. I couldn’t be happier. Thankyou Dr. Bishop for giving me confidence and making me feel respected in my future endeavors. Her nurse was also super nice and extremely thorough. Basically the entire office is top notch and makes you feel comfortable.

For a woman, going to the gyno is just not ever a pleasant experience, hence why I havent been in over a decade. But this place hand me hope. I was greeted kindly to sign in, the nurse who got me in the room and updated all the info in my file was such a delight (Maddie) and Dr. Bishop... thorough, kind, a great listener and problem solver. Im thankful I found this place!

I had my first appointment with Dr. Bishop today. The nurse came in and reviewed my history, asked a few questions and made notes in my chart. When Dr. Bishop came in she was very friendly and professional. I felt at ease immediately. She read over the notes and went addressed each concern/question one by one. She was very informative and never made me feel rushed or as though my concerns were unimportant. I definitely plan to keep her as my Dr. and hope she will stay with this office for a long time.

I was recently able to meet with Dr. Bishop and discuss symptoms and concerns I had about my health. The staff at VWC were fantastic and attentive. Dr. Bishop has a calm demeanor, was a great listener, probed about some of my questions to fully understand and gave me various options. I left feeling like I had the same questions and concerns that I came with. She ordered labs for me which was great but I brought up a particular concern twice that I feel was never addressed or even acknowledged. Maybe it was just a busy day? I was disappointed because I drove longer and out of my way to particularly come to Dr Bishop because of her bio online saying she specialized in hormones and I didn’t find her to be particularly informed or communicative enough. Hate to not give more stars but I left feeling like I didn’t have my concerns addressed.

I had my appointment date wrong but Dr. Bishop squeezed me in to her schedule last minute. Even though I was an additional appointment on a slam packed day, she made sure to give me her full attention and care. I am grateful for VWC and Dr. Bishop for their genuine concern for their patients and their commitment to excellence.

I had an awesome visit today with Dr. Bishop at Virginia Womens Center. It was my first time meeting her. Dr. Bishop took time to answer my questions, explain my healthcare options, and made me feel completely at ease. Im so glad she is now a part of my heathcare team.Once again I had the best appointment with Dr. Bishop. I had my mammogram first, and the technician was pleasant and explained every step of the procedure. Then I saw Dr. Bishop who was as wonderful as last year. She has the best bedside manner. My first enteraction was with the front desk they check me in and was Great.. Next i got called in by the Nurse witch i choose not to say Names but followed her to my room were she ask me to put my purse on chair and have a set on table, it was early in the morning im getting older so i did the opposite put my purse on counter and sat in chair and she got very stern with me. And said put your purse on the chair and sat on the Table ok then going thur questions she made no eye contact no smiles and when asked for a list of meds i showed her pic of my meds because some i cant pronounce i know what there for but i always take pictures to avoid carry them around. The whole encounter was not plessent she made me very uncomfortable in the end when she asked me the reason for my visit i thought i was there for something completely different then what she said and because i didnt understand she got a attitude stood up fast and walked out saying somthing about the schedule, 5m min later the Doc walked in i told her of my experince with her she did appologize and said she never had that situation happen with her and said she would talk with her. The Dr. Katherin was Great and informative with my questions as i knew she would be because of me reviewing her and choosing to come because of reviews on google. Finally when i left to go to check out and make my next appointment the next lady was very happy and plasent to be around. If someone is not understanding of what is being said to them at your place of business just be more imformative just dont get upset take the time and be paitient and understanding with them.

I’ve gone to Virginia Women’s Center since it was recommended to me when I moved to Virginia in 2012. My original practitioner is taking a break to raise young children, so I saw Dr. Bishop. She is kind, personable, and explains everything she will do - all good signs of a great doctor. Would recommend her to anyone in the Richmond area.

Unfortunately, on 3.27.24, the nurse who assessed me lacked warmth, was abrupt, dry, negative, lacked empathy and listening skills and had no bedside manners at all.🤨

Dr. Bishop is not only great at her job, she seems to love her job, too. She takes time and care to listen during appointments, but she also makes sure to be aware of all my medical notes from other doctors prior to seeing me. Having a doctor with this awareness is so reassuring because it feels as though I’m being treated as a whole person rather than going to separate doctors for separate issues. I only wish there were more doctors like her!
